Prof. Yendry Ventura is the Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center (ADSCC), the first government fully integrated medical and research institution focused on cellular therapy in the UAE. Serving concurrently as Adjunct Professor at United Arab Emirates University, Prof. Ventura is a skilled leader and scientific researcher in preforming, conducting, and analyzing in vivo and in vitro assays. His clinical experience revolves around regenerative medicine, clinical research and preclinical studies related to cell biology, immunology, cancer, and autoimmune diseases.

As a seasoned CEO, Prof. Ventura is proficient in steering complex business operations with a focus on innovation, strategic planning, financial governance, business analytics and global growth. In 2019, he co-founded ADSCC, and was the General Manager until 2022. With his strong leadership and strategic vision, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of ADSCC in 2023, which expanded to operate a full-fledged hospital besides its research institute. Committed to cultivating a collaborative work culture and enhancing stakeholder relationships to drive overall organizational success, he is renowned for decisive decision-making skills tailored for advanced R&D and hospital operations.

Furthermore, Prof. Ventura has developed UAE’s very first clinical trial, UAECell-19©, for a new innovative methodology using stem cells in treating COVID-19 patients, with ADSCC as its sole owner. He also established the first bone marrow transplantation program in the UAE, known as AD-BMT©, with intellectual property rights. Moreover, he has led the implementation of the UAE’s very first CAR-T cell therapy and Extracorporeal Photopheresis program. Prof. Ventura is also the Chairman of the Pharmacogenomics Flagship Program of ADSCC and the Principal Investigator of various randomized controlled clinical trials for Multiple Sclerosis, Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus, and others. As a scientific author with over 40 publications and research papers, he has made significant contributions to key international collaborations and research endeavors in the UK, Italy, USA, Japan, and Russia.

Prof. Ventura holds a Doctorate in Medicine in Immunology from the University of Havana – Cuba and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management from Johns Hopkins University – USA.
